(September 9, 1949 - February 5, 2013)

Rebecca Faye Ernsbarger was born September 9, 1949 to Joseph Lee and Bette Stricklin Mills at Alvin, Texas. She departed this life of 63 years, 4 months, and 26 days Tuesday, February 5, 2013 in Salina, Kansas after a courageous battle with cancer.

Rebecca grew up in Alvin, graduated from high school and attended college. She was an account executive for Southwestern Bell and after the 1989 divestiture; she became Director of TeleCommunications for Continental Airlines/EDS.

On April 29, 1977, she married Charles Ernsbarger at Houston, Texas. They eventually made their home in Glasco.

A brilliant, independent and strong willed person, Rebecca excelled in life. Her cancer was the impetus for her success in the business world, proving that illness would not stand in her way. She loved her work and when not at the desk, she could be found reading or working with computers. Rebecca was a diehard Texas Longhorns fan. She cherished her family and delighted in being with her grandchildren.

Rebecca was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and was active in the altar guild.

She was preceded in death by her mother, and one brother Joseph Lee Mills who died in infancy.

Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life are her husband Charles of the home,  her  father  Joe  Mills  and step  mother  Mae  of  Alvin,  Texas; children Jason Ernsbarger of Houston, Steven Ernsbarger of Brookfield, WI, Alan Ernsbarger of Paris, France; brothers Robert Mills, Santa Fe, TX & Ricky Mills; one sister Margaret Morgan of Glasco; seven grandchildren Meghan, Mary, Mathilde, Pauline, Vincent, Trevor, and Kaden Ernsbarger and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, February 9, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with burial in Glasco Cemetery. Father Joseph Kieffer and Monsignor James Hake will celebrate the funeral mass. Memorials may be given to the Glasco City Park. The Parish Vigil and Rosary will be held at 7 PM Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The casket will remain closed.
