Reggie and I became friends in elementary school. He was a guy with unique interests and talents. His dad encouraged and taught him so many interesting things. Reggie built a crystal radio for me and then taught me how to build one. He got his pilot's license at 16 and was (at that time) one of the youngest people ever to be given a license. He invited me to fly with him, but I never had the courage. His friendship was a gift to anyone who knew him. I guess the good really do die young.
