I moved from Texas City in 1995 when Samuel started college at Baylor University and Steven was at Howard Payne University. I decided it was "my time." I started my own medical practice management business in San Antonio and have lived here since. My best friend from school (age 13) Phyllis Russell Smith (our class - still beautiful) is less than an hour away in Fredericksburg. We may all scatter but remain connected through our memories. |

I met my children's Dad, Terry Sebesta one night at the Terrace Drive-In when Phyllis Ann and I were there just hanging out. They knew each other and he came over to visit her. We met and married 18 months later. Terry was a graduate of TCHS (1963) He was a senior at Stephen F. Austin University and I was a senior TCHS. Terry passed away in 1991 when the boys were 16 and 14. On that December night at the Terrace, I didn't think he would look twice at me. He went home, told his Mom "I've met the cutest little blonde and I'm going to marry her." I, on the other hand, went home and decided to become a brunette and the next day Mrs. Sebesta scouted me out at the store where I worked and she came right up to me asking for a little blonde named Beverly. She was busted. Terry and I were married in 1969, had these wonderful boys in 1975 and 1977 and she ended up a wonderful mother-in-law and grandmother to my boys. They went to my elementary school, junior high and both graduated TCHS. Steven graduated in 1994, Captain of the TCHS Baseball Team and Sam graduated in 1995, No. 12 in his class with enough scholarship funds to cover his first year at Baylor. I'm still amazed at where the time has gone but while all things haven't turned out quite like expected, life is good here in South Texas. Updated 10.16.09 I have now joined the "Ga-Ga Grandmother's Club." My grandson, Brock, was born on 7.3.09 and is now 3 months old. Watch for photos...there are hundreds already! |

Thanksgiving 2007 at The Plaza in San Antonio, TX where the boys and I always have lunch. I don't cook and there's a sign in my kitchen that makes it very clear so as not to be misunderstood!
